What a remap actually does.
Manufacturers build their engine maps to a global average. They account for variable fuel quality, extreme climates, mass-market warranty claims and tax brackets. The headroom that's left over between that conservative factory map and the engine's true safe limits is what tuning unlocks - all in software, no extra hardware required.
